Sławomir Wasilczyk
In 1979 gradated from the University of Łódź, Faculty of Law and Administration (majoring in Administration).
From 1988 he is working in public administration – for the first two years in the local government authorities and from November 1990 till now in Łódź Voivodship Office in Łódź. In 1993 he became the Deputy Director of the Passport Department (from 1998 – Department of Civil Affairs and Aliens). In 1999 he was promoted to the position of a director of the Department of Passport Affairs and Aliens (from 2002 – Department of Civil Affairs and Migration). From 2006 he was the director of the Department of Citizen Affairs and Aliens in Łódź Voivodship Office in Łódź.
In 2004 he became a Plenipotentiary of the Voivod for National Minorities. In 2005 the President of Poland decorated him with Silver Cross of Merit.
He is interested in art (especially in painting and ancient culture) and sport (foremost - football). He is married, with two children – his daughter is a computer scientist and his son is studying politics.
